Innovative programs and partnerships
Global Health Program
at the David Geffen School of Medicine
Our vision is to catalyze opportunities to improve health globally.
To achieve this vision, we engage in multi-disciplinary and innovative education programs, research initiatives, and bilateral partnerships that provide opportunities for trainees, faculty, and staff to contribute to sustainable health initiatives and to address health inequities facing the world today.
"Global health experiences open the hearts and minds of our trainees by exposing them to different cultures, health systems, and diseases. They focus attention on the essence of the patient-doctor relationship, and trainees return to UCLA with a deeper appreciation for the spectrum of health inequities globally, and for the incredible resources available in the American health care system."
